Alien nation

What is the takeaway from this rising plethora of superhero movies? At the least, a couple of things. (1) Heroes need villains. (2) We’re increasingly estranged from what Zen calls ordinary mind and everyday life.

Judge not

Men who love themselves do not contradict (from the Latin for speak against) themselves. Self-criticism is truly the grievous error. Many have perished out there, on the hot sands of their own contempt.

Periodicity

There are periods when we feel connected and alive, and there are other periods when we feel alienated and spent. Nothing wrong with that. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
