Who are you? What time is it?

We prevent ourselves from knowing ourselves with thoughts of who we think we are. ‘I am this. I am that.’ Self-concepts are entirely time-bound. Nothing more effectively obscures the real than the clock. Freedom is the recognition of our timelessness. Never born. Never died.

The secret of Life

At the heart of the matter lies this: Life is a series of surprises.

Only the unexpected has Life, only the unexpected is true.

You are not in control of what happens. It doesn’t matter how much education you have. If you do not know this, you are woefully uninformed. You will look for someone or something to blame. You will find what you are looking for.

You are going to die soon. In five years, 10 or 20—soon. Dates don’t matter. Even of the basics, your birth and your death, you are not in control.

Of one thing, though, you are very much in control. You are in full and unabridged control of your response to what happens.

This is the secret of Life. You are response-able.
