The flame of judgment

Anger in all of its manifestations is ignited in the moment a mental judgment is rendered. Judgmentalism is anger’s sole source. There is no other.

“Judge not.” Jesus said it. Marley sang it. Machine Gun Kelly struggles with it.

One love

Dig one hole. Dig it deep.

The psalmist did not say, “Two things have I desired…”

“If you put sincere effort in one place, the gold in the stone will break for you.”

The way we love

The man who loves his wife but hates his boss does not love his wife. We need to examine this business of divided love, of how we bestow it as if we owned it, because love is not partial, private or personal. The way we relate to the store clerk, to other drivers, to the prostitute at the well, is the way we love.
