I’ve worked with university students made anxious because of academic under-achievement. Mostly, they are not at all under-achievers, just bored gormless by what they’re required to learn. Boredom is baby anger. It’s the penalty we pay when we are estranged from our natural inclinations.
Nothing in nature is bored, restless or guilty-feeling. Trees don’t ask, ‘What’s next?’
