Jesus talked about two roads. The road to destruction is easy and well-travelled. The road to life is hard with few travellers. Therefore, comfort is our enemy. There is no safety in numbers.

In this snorting congestion of desire and fear, described by many as everyday life, we may pause to ask, What do men want? What are they seeking? Comfort, mostly. Personal comfort.
As we continue our journey into the Self, we discover that some of our memories have left a scar. The man who was beaten as a boy does not, cannot forget what happened. The inner journey is the path of self-acceptance. Scars and all.
If we don’t know what’s going to happen, and if we’re comfortable with not knowing, then we’re a channel for Life rather than an obstruction. To find our comfort in not knowing is to embody trust in its highest degree.
We’re forged in fire. Wouldn’t it be nice if a La-Z-Boy could do what fire does?
