Courage comes from the Latin for heart. It’s the essence of a man who sees himself as he is and the world as it is. Not seeing, he succumbs to bullets and beliefs.

Does patriarchy work? Of course it does! (It works for men.) But things change, and now “wife”, as a serviceable term, stands on the cusp of retirement.
Man as disciple
Discipline has nothing to do with subjugation, suppression or standing at attention. It does not mean replacing one pattern of behaviour with another. It means “to learn.”
We must be completely free in order to learn. Freedom begins with the realization of how trapped we are.
The least free are the most conventional.
