Life is a play about love. We are currently watching what happens when love is thwarted, repressed, personalized, nationalized, militarized. When love is turned in on itself, when it becomes selfishness, it explodes.

What he’s worth

The true man is non-violent. This means that his level of self-concern is low to non-existent. He functions normally but one vacancy sets him apart: He has no interest in profit and loss.

Profiteers and pornographers

Where am I headed if I’m excellent with money but lousy with myself? Profiteering, almost certainly. Pornography, possibly. Do-gooding, maybe.

Myopia

The planet is vastly more beautiful than it is useful. Perversely, it’s utilitarians who predominate. They’re governed by one article of faith: If it works, it’s truth.
