Looking for Lila

Conventional wisdom tells us that Life is a serious business. I remember one man telling me he had taught his three boys the value of a dollar. Therein a good illustration of why sons tend not to turn to their fathers for spiritual direction.

Boys to men

It is often the case that men were taught as boys that feelings are dangerous and inefficient and that it is better not to have them. This is a mostly wordless transmission passed on by a man who received the same teaching from his father. So it is natural and necessary for men to work with other men on the problems men have. Are women ready for this? They’ve never not been ready.
