A man in full

A man in full doesn’t want anything. Or, put another way, he wants what he has; he doesn’t want what he doesn’t have. Men in full are easy to overlook. They’re very quiet.  

Merry Christmas

Born in a barn. Accumulated nothing. Tortured to death. Christmas is a meditation on humility. Our institutions have very little in the way of humility. This blanket statement does not exclude the church.

Love and romance

Love is not what the culture says it is. The culture says love is romance. This is not true. Love is quieter, humbler and steadier than that. Romance is incidental. Comes and goes.
