Thine own self

There are two ways I can go: I can please myself or I can please other people. The most difficult path is the first one. This is “the narrow way” Jesus spoke about.

Happiness now

We cannot try to be happy. In this endeavour, trying is failing. What we can do is investigate why we are unhappy, to see how our dream of happiness depends on some person, situation or circumstance. Dependency is misery. True happiness comes from within. It already is.

Blow it up

Are you restless, anxious, awash in choices and arrangements, busy with calculations? Something is keeping you from the knowledge that there is nothing you need. Find out what it is. Blow it up.

As I am

We think the purpose of the mind is to think. (The mind would think that, wouldn’t it?) But that’s not it. The purpose of the mind is to see the real. In the seeing is the doing, the spontaneous conversion of love into action

Perfect

If I knew myself to the innermost point of my being, I would not second-guess myself, doubt myself, criticize myself, improve myself, compare myself or forgive myself. And I would never ever apologize.
