Unlearn everything

If I am chronically wanting this or fearing that or reacting emotionally, then my life task is fairly simple: Unlearn everything. Perhaps I should feel thankful that it doesn’t matter where I start.

The peaceful warrior

The peaceful warrior is an army of one. He is vital, independent, undivided, simple. He has no weapons because he has no fear. He is complete; he doesn’t want anything. If he had a credo, which he doesn’t, it would be this: Resist nothing.

Divestment

In the game’s second half, there are sundry encouragements to let go of things—if not actual then conceptual, e.g., mental things. In practice, this means relinquishing our opinions. Sadly, for many of us, this is just not an option.
