Non-binary genders

What can we make of the fact that fungi have 36,000 sexes? Well, it is at least an invitation to think more expansively about sexual identity. Sexual interest peaks in our 20s so the young have something to teach us about gender fluidity.

Androgyny

“They” and “them” are increasingly used as gender-neutral pronouns in the singular sense. For example: “Male and female he made them; and blessed them and called their name Adam in the day when they were created.” We’re compelled to say the future looks androgynous.
