The sorrow and the sweetness

Life is sweet and we cling to it, but it’s entirely possible that humans won’t make the evolutionary cut. Would this be tragic? No. Well we know that nothing lasts. Therein lies the sweetness.

In light of the first of the Four Noble Truths (Life is suffering), shouldn’t birth be swaddled in sorrow and death elicit a sober joy?

Death is the opposite of birth, not Life. Life has no opposite.
