How long is now? Does now have a beginning? A middle? An end? Are now’s strung together like pearls on a strand. The mind looks for answers in the hands of a clock.

Who are you? What time is it?
We prevent ourselves from knowing ourselves with thoughts of who we think we are. ‘I am this. I am that.’ Self-concepts are entirely time-bound. Nothing more effectively obscures the real than the clock. Freedom is the recognition of our timelessness. Never born. Never died.
Back to the poets
The world is temporal, meaning time-bound and finite. It came from nothing and is now in the process of returning to nothing. To paraphrase the timeless Stephen Hawking, ‘Why bother?’ Spare a thought for cosmologists! Still looking for a cause. Still not finding one.

As the dweller is not the dwelling, the soul is not the body. One is time-bound and limited; the other is timeless and free.
Lucid dreaming
What I quaintly call “my world” is small, personal and private. It is essentially the same as anyone else’s world, differing only in its details. They are time-bound, these worlds. All we know is what we remember.
